Hair growth stops once the follicle is treated. Hair removal requires several treatments for best results.

Until now electrolysis has been the only long-term method for the removal of unwanted hair. This method can be uncomfortable, time consuming, and the results are dependent on the skill of the electrologist. Less permanent methods include shaving, plucking, depilatories, and waxing.
